Color Bind

An interesting new study says white children develop an affinity for African-Americans after learning about past discrimination against people of color. I’m not sure this is really the case in America, but I suspect that it could be the case in foreign countries. I’ve often read about young whites in Germany, Sweden and portions of Ireland having a strong affinity for African-Americans and African-American culture–and it’s plausible that these whites may have developed this affinity after learning about the American civil rights movement and the struggles African-Americans went through in those days.
