The Post dredged a particularly deep and murky bog when they found this story. First of all, Willie Horton was damaging to Dukakis not because he was a black inmate, but because he was a murderous felon and thus a public safety threat of high order. And as for Steele taking money from Trent Lott, let’s just leave out the fact that 2 weeks ago the Dems fetted a former clansman who in recent memory “slipped” and used the “N” word (and I don’t mean napkin). Besides, all these clowns decrying this, how many of them or their accolytes would have voted for Steele anyway? None? Perhaps.
