President Bush acknowledges having authorized electronic eavesdropping for national security purposes. But of course! Everyone with even an average IQ knew that the Bush Administration would use wiretaps, e-mail surveillance, etc., to thwart Al-Qaeda’s efforts to harm us: why the hell do you think there hasn’t been a terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11? I can’t believe this is even a story. The left wants to make Bush out to be the new J. Edgar Hoover, but their efforts will fail.
